Which municipalities are in the Antequera comarca?
Eight, all inland. In alphabetical order:
- Alameda, Antequera, Casabermeja, Fuente de Piedra
- Humilladero, Mollina, Sierra de Yeguas, Villanueva de la Concepción
Two notes. Sierra de Yeguas is placed in this comarca by the Junta de Andalucía, while the Diputación de Málaga groups it with Guadalteba; we follow the Junta. Villanueva de la Concepción was segregated from Antequera in 2009 and is listed here as its own municipality.
There is no separate town page for Antequera on this site, so treat this hub as that page: everything below applies to the town as much as to the surrounding villages.
What paving work do we do in Antequera?
In short, the same range as anywhere in the province, adapted to the property. If you own a townhouse, the job may be an entrance or an inner patio. If you have a house on land, a drive and parking. If you run a business with a private forecourt or yard, a surface that takes vans and deliveries, which needs a stronger base from the outset.
- Concrete block paving for drives, entrances and forecourts, chosen in a thickness that matches the traffic.
- A concrete base under the paving where vans, lorries or poor ground call for a rigid foundation.
- Kerbs and edge restraint, straight or curved, like the one set beside a building in the photo.
- Natural stone setts and slabs for courtyards and entrances of traditional houses.
- Replacement of old paving, with lifting and waste removal.
For larger car parks, industrial yards and vehicle entrances, our sister site has a dedicated page: driveways, parking and yards in Antequera. It is run by the same contractor, so you can start on either site.
How do we organise jobs this far from Marbella?
Antequera is a longer drive from our Marbella base than the coastal towns, so we prepare thoroughly. Send photos of the area and access, the approximate m², what surface is there now and whether water and power are available. One visit confirms the details, and the quote proposes a continuous work period with deliveries timed to arrive before the crew.
On rustic land, the procedure for works may differ from that in town; for historic buildings, visible materials may be subject to municipal criteria. Both points are worth raising with the town hall concerned before the work is planned. Our permits and rules guide explains the general framework, and our guide to layers and base shows what a sound build-up looks like.
How do you get a quote?
Send us a photo and the approximate m² – free, no-obligation quote. We reply with questions, a first estimate and a proposed visit date. Reference prices and cost factors, including access and travel, are on what moves the cost of paving. Then get in touch.
If your project mixes areas – a forecourt plus a garden path, or a drive plus an inner courtyard – describe them all in one message. Quoting them together lets us plan one work period and one set of deliveries, which is especially worthwhile at this distance from our base.

Frequently asked questions
Are you paving contractors in Antequera?
Yes. We are based in Marbella and work across the whole province, including Antequera and the other seven municipalities of its comarca. This page is our main page for paving jobs in Antequera.
Which villages around Antequera do you cover?
All the municipalities of the comarca: Alameda, Casabermeja, Fuente de Piedra, Humilladero, Mollina, Sierra de Yeguas and Villanueva de la Concepción, as well as Antequera itself.
Why is Sierra de Yeguas listed under Antequera?
The Junta de Andalucía places Sierra de Yeguas in the Antequera comarca, while the Diputación de Málaga groups it with Guadalteba. We follow the Junta for this municipality.
Can you pave a business forecourt that takes delivery vans?
Yes. For areas that vans or lorries cross, we choose thicker pavers and a stronger base, often concrete. For large car parks or industrial yards, our sister driveway site has a dedicated Antequera page.
Is Villanueva de la Concepción part of Antequera?
It was until 2009, when it became a separate municipality. It remains within the Antequera comarca, and we cover it in the same way as the other villages.
Can you lay natural stone in a townhouse courtyard in Antequera?
Yes. Natural stone setts or slabs suit traditional courtyards. If the building is protected or in a historic area, ask the town hall whether any rules apply to materials before you choose.
How do you plan a job so far from your base?
We collect photos and details first so one visit is enough, then propose a continuous work period with deliveries arriving before the crew. That keeps travel from becoming a large part of the cost.
Do I need a permit for paving in Antequera?
Each town hall sets the procedure in its ordinance, so the route for your job is confirmed locally before work begins. For many minor private works, Andalusia's LISTA law provides a responsible declaration; work on the public pavement needs separate authorisation.
Can you replace old concrete with block paving?
Yes. We break up and remove the old concrete, take it to an authorised facility, rebuild the base and lay new pavers. If the old concrete is sound and well sloped, it can sometimes serve as a base.
Can I get the quote in English?
Yes. Quotes, questions and photo updates are available in English or Spanish, by email or WhatsApp, whichever suits you. If a Spanish-speaking relative or manager is handling the job locally, we can copy them in as well.
