Costa del Sol Occidental

Block paving across the western Costa del Sol

In shortThe Costa del Sol Occidental comarca groups nine municipalities: Benahavís, Benalmádena, Casares, Estepona, Fuengirola, Manilva, Marbella, Mijas and Torremolinos. Eight of them are on the coast; Benahavís is inland. Our base is in Marbella, at the centre of this area, and we lay, replace and edge block paving in every one of these towns. Each has its own page with local areas and the services that fit.

Which municipalities belong to the Costa del Sol Occidental?

Nine. Listed alphabetically, with a link to our page for each where you will find the named urbanisations and areas we cover and the angle most relevant to that town:

  • Benahavís – inland, villa projects to designers' plans
  • Benalmádena – homes and communities of owners
  • Casares – access and logistics, stone and clay
  • Estepona – replacing paving in urbanisations
  • Fuengirola – compact plots done properly
  • Manilva – holiday homes and grass grids
  • Marbella – English-speaking paving contractor
  • Mijas – sloping and level plots
  • Torremolinos – homes, blocks and business frontages

Comarca lists vary slightly between sources. Istán and Ojén are sometimes grouped here too; we follow the Diputación de Málaga and list them under the Sierra de las Nieves.

Which paving services are most relevant on this coast?

All seven of our core services are in demand here, because the area combines villas, townhouses, apartment communities and businesses. In brief:

Which one fits depends far more on the property than on the town. A villa drive in Estepona and one in Benalmádena raise the same questions about base, edges and falls; what changes is access, community rules and what is there already. That is why each town page takes a different angle rather than repeating the same advice.

If you are unsure where to start, our guide to layers and base explains what sits beneath any paved surface, and the materials comparison sets concrete, stone, clay and permeable options side by side. Both apply anywhere in the comarca, and both help you read and compare quotes from any contractor.

Which specialist sites cover these towns?

Our network is run by one self-employed contractor, so the specialist sites are simply different doors to the same team. For each town in the comarca, the sister pages that exist are:

What should you check before paving anywhere on this coast?

Two things: the town hall procedure and, if you live in a development, the community of owners. For Marbella, Estepona, Fuengirola, Benalmádena, Torremolinos, Mijas and the other towns, the procedure for a given outdoor paving job is set in the current municipal ordinance, which is worth checking with the town hall before a start date is fixed. Communities decide on shared areas at the owners' meeting under Ley 49/1960. Our permits and rules guide explains both, and our cost factors page explains what moves the price. Frequently asked questions

Which towns make up the Costa del Sol Occidental?

Benahavís, Benalmádena, Casares, Estepona, Fuengirola, Manilva, Marbella, Mijas and Torremolinos. Benahavís is the only one of the nine without a coastline; the other eight face the sea.

Where is your base on this coast?

In Marbella, at Avenida Antonio Belón. From there we reach all nine municipalities of the comarca, and we also work across the rest of Málaga province.

Why are Istán and Ojén not listed here?

Sources disagree on their comarca. We follow the Diputación de Málaga, which places both in the Sierra de las Nieves. Our Ojén page sits under that comarca, but the work is the same either way.

Do you work in every urbanisation on this coast?

Yes. Each town page lists named areas from our location data, but we work anywhere in the nine municipalities, including urbanisations not mentioned by name.

Which of your sites should I contact for my job?

Any of them reaches the same contractor. As a guide: new or replacement paving here, sunken areas on the repair site, drives on the driveway site, terraces and pools on the terraces site, and tired surfaces on the renovation site.

Is the permit procedure the same in every town?

No. Each town hall sets it in its own ordinance, so the procedure for a paving job is checked with that town hall. Many minor private works in Andalusia fall under a responsible declaration.

Can you quote for owners who live abroad?

Yes. Photos and approximate m² give a first estimate; a visit with you or a trusted contact confirms it. Quotes and updates are available in English by email or WhatsApp.

Do communities of owners on this coast hire you directly?

Often through the administrator, who collects quotes for the owners' meeting. We provide an itemised quote and photos, and plan the work so residents keep access where possible.

Where can I see prices for this area?

Prices are not published on this site. Our sister site precioadoquinado.eu lists reference figures, cost factors and a calculator that apply across the province.

Do you also work outside the Costa del Sol Occidental?

Yes, in the whole province of Málaga, including the Axarquía, the Valle del Guadalhorce, the Serranía de Ronda and the city of Málaga. Each comarca has its own area page.
